Wrapping up 2009

Well, this year has been a busy chain of events. Halle started second grade in August and the girls turned 2 on May 15th.

Halle is doing well in school. She is enjoying the ever changing aspects of elementary and what is has in store. She is giving softball a shot this season also. Last Summer she wrapped up swim lessons and now swims pretty good.

Audrie started gymnastics classes and does very well in them. She is very bright, energetic and full of ideas and funny sayings. She is always making us laugh. I got her potty trained shortly after she turned 2 and believe it or not, she was the easiest kid to potty train ever.

Katlynn was diagnosed with Classic Autism in July 2009. She has since been classified into a high functioning category-if that is possible. She is still working really hard on speech and social aspects, which I am sure she will struggle with most of her life. Things are looking really promising with her progress and ABA therapy and I really think, and hope, that she will be able to live pretty close to normal life of a child and maybe even an adult. Only time will tell. In the meantime, I do what I can to help her and try to advocate Autism and it's raising numbers when I can. I want to personally thank Heather Porter and
TACA for all the help and support with everything regarding Katlynn's condition. Katlynn loves her sisters and is very attached to Dave and I. She loves shape sorters, cartoons, books and simple finger plays.

Dave is back on patrol again and loves it. He has also taken up bike riding again with some friends and seems to enjoy that when he can get it into his schedule.

I am just busy as ever chasing after the 3 girls, who seem to fight more and more as they are getting older.  Then again they miss eachother when they are apart.  I volunteer at Halle's school when I can and I also run a moms group locally which I try to stay busy with. Still hoping to get back to school this new year. I am hoping to get some photography classes in and maybe a few others when time permits. I got to see both my aunts Debbie and Donna, whom I had not seen in 18 or so years, so it was really exciting to see them.

We took vacation in July 2009 up to Oregon and Washington to Visit my dad, Dave's Cousin Steve, and Halle's Half sister, Alexx. We had a wonderful time. Everything was smooth sailing and exciting. We saw lots of great sights and the kids thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

Christmas was nice. It came and went and, I was honestly happy to say goodbye to 2009.
