I'm growing followers.. woohoo

I finally have 30 followers on Katlynn's blog.  It's exciting.

I finally updated my other blog I created last year, but never kept up.  Well.... cuz life gets in the way and I put myself on the back burner for a while.  So, I figured it was time to come back into the light again. I have come to realization my life is always going to be a busy and chaotic one, so I have come to grips with learning to appreciate the small things.  So here's the OTHER blog.

Had a fabulous 25th birthday...

Complements of my fabulous husband.  He is such a cool guy.  I got super spoiled as he always does.  I also got new running shoes which I was super excited about.  I broke them in last night with a 2 mile run.  What a difference a good fit makes.  We went to an actual running store and it was so worth it.  We also had an excellent dinner filled with yummy seafood. It was just a really nice day.  I got a new camera remote from my fabulous girlfriends that I can't wait to try out this week and work on my 12 month and 52 week photo project themes.

Today is our 4th anniversary.  Happy anniversary sweetheart.  You are my best friend and I know we'll have many more wonderful years together.

He brought home dinner and flowers for me and of course we exchanged funny cards.

Ps... I am not really 25, but a gal can dream, right.

Ran my first 5K

I ran 3.86 miles on Friday night.  Very excited and proud of myself.  I did a 5 mile hike this morning and ended the night with a 1 mile run.  I am digging this running stuff. 

It's ALL about ME!!

No not really and I am not vain. lol.  Actually these pictures I took this week for a 52 week photography project.  This is my first time taking a self picture with a timer and in manual mode.  Not the best and my hair definitely needed to be in rollers, but when you are scurrying to just get dressed and make-up on with 3 kids at your feet.... it's tough.  I think for it being my first time they are okay.  Give me a few more months and not only will I look fabulous with longer hair and skinner... my pictures will be better quality with practice!  Stay tuned....

Vacation

We are finally planning our family vacation to Yosemite this Summer for a full 5 days. I can not wait.  We're gonna go hiking, horseback riding,  fishing, ride on trains, panning for gold., etc.  The kids will have so much fun and I know it will be a trip we will all remember forever.

Train for Autism

Well, Dave and I are both doing the runs at Huntington Beach for the Surf City 1/2 marathon in Feb.  I wussed out of the 1/2 marathon because I knew I could not train enough in time without getting hurt and I already have a long standing knee injury as it is.  So... I am doing the measly 1 mile run and I am still going to support Autism and of course my husband.  We are making a day of it and going down to meet some new potential friends and spend the night down there to prep for the race Sunday.  Wanna donate? Click HERE.  Dave only needs $87 more dollars to meet his goal.  I need a tons more too, but I have been trying to recruit people for his page because he'll get his $100 reimbursed for the race of he get $500 in donations. 

I have been jogging several times a week since the first of January.  I am up to a good 2 mile run 5 mile walk/run and have lost 10lbs, so I am happy.  Working on building it up to a full 1/2 marathon also and losing an additional 20lbs by June.  Wish me luck.  I am doing the MUD Run and a 5K run in June of this year.  i am looking forward to them. I am really enjoying running and hoping my knee holds out another year until I can have surgery on it.  

This is what we do on NO SCHOOL DAY's

Why... we go to DISNEYLAND of course.  We're taking advantage of our last couples months with season passes so Kara and I took 5 kids there yesterday.  It was a perfect day.  Great weather, no crowds and no fighting.  Wish we could have stayed longer.  Here's a picture compliments of Kara from Kara Ambrus Photography.  She's the bomb photographer by the way.

What's better then a Snow day to end 2010?

I can't think of anything.  We had a great time and hope to squeeze in many more this winter.  It was a little tricky getting shots with the shadows and of course the tripod, but it worked out.
