Happy December

All is well here with the Smith Clan.  Busy, Busy busy as we always are.  Seems we never stop and take a breather.

Dave still working full swing for the local station.  I still stay home and mind the kiddos and occasionally watch a little 3 year old boy who is a friend of mine's son.

Halle is doing pretty good.  She seems to be doing a bit better in school and is really starting to enjoy the tween type stuff.  Music, movies,  internet, etc.  All the stuff I am dreading.  But she is growing up.  She is in gymnastics and really enjoys it.  We plan to have her do another session and then in February go back to swimming lessons again.  I am hoping (really crossing my fingers) she will be interested in competitive swimming on a team, but only time will tell.

Audrie is doing great too.  She still loves make believe and telling stories and pretending to be a princess.  Always in dresses and being a girly girl.  Still loves books and puzzles and reading.  She is taking a break from Gymnastics and started dance lessons and MY-GYM with Katlynn.

KK is doing wonderfully.  Her speech is improving every single day.  I think she says a new sentence (not a word but sentence) every single days.  We're still working on pronouncing things correctly and clearly, but she is doing well.  She has recently found a love for horses.  Makes me super giddy as I was a huge horse lover as a kid, but makes me sad because she will probably never get to experience horses as I did owning and riding them.   Now a days riding lessons for her would cost us a lot of money.  I am hoping someday I will get approve for a grant for Equine therapy.  Which leads me to her autism.... As always you can follow her site link HERE, but I will give a quick overview on whats new.  We've decided to have the twins take part in a twin study at Standford  University called ICATS.  Basically,  no real lab rat type testing, but more assessments.  They will do 2 MRI's on the kids over a 6 year period though.  I figured that we have to find a cure, or recovery someday for Autism, why not let my kids take part in research as long as it is not medication or evasive, I am okay with it.  I also think she is finally ready to potty train.  She has been pulling off her pull-up when it is soiled and putting on a new one.  lol.  Not fun for me, but she is getting the idea that she needs to change it.  So we will start that journey again on Christmas Break.

Not much else new here.  Here are a few Random pictures. The one of our tree... YES that is a HUGE 12ft Christmas Tree. You can thank Dave for really being in the spirit this year.  ;-)

Dave and a few of his buddies from work decided to enter an Ice Cream eating contest and eat the Ben& Jerry's Vermonster.  They didn't end up winning a year's worth of Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, but came in like 5th place out of 15 teams.
